Seedance 2.0 prompt guide
Seedance 2.0 is strong on cinematic camera work and sharp output up to 4K. It follows a prompt written like a short shot description: subject, place, camera, then the look.
What Seedance 2.0 takes
- Takes a prompt, a first frame, a last frame and up to 9 reference images, named @Image1 to @Image9 in the prompt.
- Clips of 4 to 15 seconds.
- Aspect ratios: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1.
- Settings: 480p; 720p; 1080p; 4K.
- From 3 credits per second.
The order to write a prompt in
- The subject and what it does: one clear action.
- The place and the time of day.
- The camera: the shot size and one move, such as a slow push-in, an orbit or a handheld follow.
- The look: light, lens, colour and film style.
Tips
- With reference images, name each one by its position in the prompt: @Image1 is the first image you add, up to @Image9 for the 9th. Say what to take from each, such as "the jacket from @Image2".
- A first and a last frame fix how the clip starts and ends; describe the motion between them.
- Give one camera move per shot: several moves in one clip tend to blur together.
- In our tests Seedance 2.0 refused a photorealistic photo of a person as a possible likeness of a real person. For people, try Kling 3.0 or HappyHorse; a refused run costs nothing.
- Draft the idea with Seedance 2.0 Mini or Fast at a lower price per second, then make the final take.
Example prompts
A lone lighthouse on a cliff at night, waves crashing below, the beam sweeping through heavy rain. Slow push-in from the sea. Cinematic, cold blue light, 35 mm film grain.
A glass perfume bottle on black stone, liquid gold swirling slowly around it. The camera orbits halfway around as the light catches the label. Studio lighting, macro lens.
The sneaker from @Image1 rests on wet asphalt at night. Neon signs reflect in the puddles as the camera glides low past it. Rain falls in slow motion.
