Text to video: make a video from a prompt
Describe a scene and get a clip back. RenderHour runs 16 video models on one balance of credits, with clips up to 30 seconds and up to 4K with Seedance 2.0 and Kling 3.0. Try the same prompt on several models and keep the best take.

How it works
- Open the Video page and write the scene: who or what, the action, the place, the camera and the style.
- Pick a model, a length, an aspect ratio and a resolution. The price is on the Generate button.
- Generate. A failed run costs nothing, and every result is kept in Assets.
Tips
- Draft with a low-cost model such as Seedance 2.0 Mini (from 0.5 credits per second), then make the final take with a stronger one.
- Name the camera move ("slow push-in", "handheld", "drone shot") and the light.
- Keep one shot per prompt; for a film made of shots, use Cinema Studio.
Questions
- How much does text to video cost?
- It depends on the model and the settings, and the exact price is on the Generate button before you start. The lowest here is Seedance 2.0 Mini: from 0.5 credits per second. A clip that fails costs nothing: its credits come back automatically.
- Can I make a video from text for free?
- Yes. The free plan gives 20 credits every month with no card, enough for 40 seconds of video in clips of up to 15 seconds with Seedance 2.0 Mini.
- How long can a clip be?
- Up to 30 seconds in one clip, depending on the model. Each model page lists its lengths.
- Which text to video model is best?
- It depends on the shot. The comparisons page puts the leading models side by side; since they share one balance, you can also run the same prompt on two of them and compare.
