Image to video: turn a photo into a video

Add a photo, describe how it should move, and RenderHour animates it with the model you pick. 16 video models take your photo as the first frame, and Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0, Google Veo 3.1, FLUX 3 Max, Seedance 2.0 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini also take a last frame, so the clip ends exactly where you want. Seedance 2.5 can follow up to 12 reference images instead.

Models that do it

How it works

  1. Open the Video page and add your photo as the first frame.
  2. Describe the motion: what moves, how fast, and what the camera does.
  3. Pick a model, a length and a resolution. The price is on the Generate button.
  4. Generate. A failed run costs nothing, and every result is kept in Assets.

Tips

  • Describe the motion, not the photo: the model already sees what is in it.
  • One clear action per clip works better than a list of events.
  • For a set move such as an orbit or a zoom, the Effects page does it in one click.

Questions

How much does image to video cost?
It depends on the model and the settings, and the exact price is on the Generate button before you start. The lowest here is Seedance 2.0 Mini: from 0.5 credits per second. A clip that fails costs nothing: its credits come back automatically.
Can I turn a photo into a video for free?
Yes. The free plan gives 20 credits every month with no card, enough for 40 seconds of video in clips of up to 15 seconds with Seedance 2.0 Mini.
Can I choose where the clip ends?
Yes. Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0, Google Veo 3.1, FLUX 3 Max, Seedance 2.0 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini take a last frame as well as a first one and make the motion between them.
Can I use photos of people?
Only photos you have the right to use, and never to imitate a real person without their consent. Some models refuse photos of real people. See the Acceptable Use Policy.
