Animate old photos with AI
Add a scanned or old photo and get a short clip back in which the people in it smile, blink and turn to the camera. Kling 3.0 starts from your photo as the first frame, so faces and clothes stay as they were, and it takes photos of real people, which some models such as Seedance turn down. The free credits make a clip of up to 8 seconds with it.

How it works
- Open the Video page with Kling 3.0 picked, and add your photo as the start frame.
- Describe small, natural motion: "she smiles softly and looks at the camera, a light breeze moves her hair".
- Pick 5 seconds to start. The price is on the Generate button.
- Generate. A failed run costs nothing, and the clip is kept in Assets with no watermark.
Tips
- Scan or photograph the print straight on, in good light, and crop to the people.
- Small movements look most natural; big actions change faces.
- Make two or three and keep the one that looks most like the person you remember.
Questions
- How much does it cost?
- It depends on the model and the settings, and the exact price is on the Generate button before you start. The lowest here is Kling 3.0: from 1.25 credits per second. A clip that fails costs nothing: its credits come back automatically.
- Can I try it for free?
- Yes. The free plan gives 10 credits every month with no card, enough for a clip of up to 8 seconds with Kling 3.0.
- Whose photos can I use?
- Photos of your own family and others you have the right to use, and never to make someone appear to say or do what they did not. See the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Why did Seedance decline my photo?
- Seedance turns down photos that may show a real person. Kling 3.0 and HappyHorse 1.1 take them, and RenderHour offers to make a declined run again on Kling 3.0.
